UC Browser, one of the most popular mobile browsers out there, has just been updated on phones running Java, and is currently available for download as version 9.0.

The new UC Browser 9.0 was meant to provide owners of Java phones with a better, faster browsing experience, similar to that available for the owners of smartphones, the team of developers behind the app notes.

To ensure that, they included enhanced video and audio playback capabilities inside the new release, making the rendering of such content feel much smoother than before.

“We have designed the Fast Video and Audio Playing feature to break through storage limitation and poor network connection,” the team of developers notes in a recent forum post.

“The new feature allows users to play video files that have been saved to UDisk directly, without having to download those big files to local phone storage. Enjoy the fluent videos watching on Java Phone.”

However, the smoother playback of video and audio content is only one of the improvements that UC Browser 9.0 arrives with, as the team also focused on making it easier for users to login to favorite websites.

Thus, the application is now able to save usernames and passwords for various websites, including Facebook and more, for faster and more convenient authentication.

The user interface of the application was improved as well, with a variety of optimizations brought to the menus, night mode, operations on touch devices, and more.

Additionally, UC Browser 9.0 for Java phones arrives with various bug fixes and stability improvements. For example, the missing Speed Dial issue has been resolved in this release.
